Millage: 45 742 km;
1997 Mercedes-Benz E50 AMG (W210) 45,742 km – Fully Documented Original Mileage | Complete Service History | Collector-Grade Example
Offered for sale is one of the most desirable AMG models of the 1990s – a 1996 Mercedes-Benz E50 AMG (W210) with an exceptionally low and fully documented original mileage of just 45,742 km. This is a genuine collector's car, preserved in outstanding condition and becoming increasingly difficult to find. Imported from Japan a few years ago, the car comes complete with:
Fully documented service history
Two original keys
Original Owner's Manual and documentation
The vehicle is in good mechanical and cosmetic condition. The interior remains beautifully preserved, with the leather, steering wheel, switchgear, and trim all reflecting the remarkably low mileage. At some point during its life, the car was professionally repainted. However, it has never been involved in an accident (No Accident Car). Paint thickness measurements are consistent throughout the vehicle, typically ranging between 170–250 microns, with no bad spots on the paint thickness meter, confirming a high-quality repaint. Detailed underbody photographs, paint thickness measurements, and walk-around videos are available upon request.Rarity Only 2,870 Mercedes-Benz E50 AMG (W210) examples were produced worldwide. How many of those cars are still on the road today? How many have survived without accident damage? And perhaps more importantly—how many remain with just 45,742 km from new, a fully documented service history, original books, two keys, and in this remarkable state of preservation? The answer is simple: very few.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire what is quite possibly one of the finest surviving Mercedes-Benz E50 AMG examples —a true collector-grade automobile from the golden era of AMG. As these cars continue to disappear into private collections, finding an example with documented provenance, exceptionally low mileage, outstanding condition, and complete history has become increasingly difficult. For the discerning collector, opportunities like this come along only rarely.A True AMG Built the Old-Fashioned Way The E50 AMG was built during a unique period in AMG history, when AMG had not yet become fully integrated into Mercedes-Benz. Unlike today's mass-produced AMG models, each E50 underwent a fascinating two-stage production process. A standard W210 body shell was first assembled at Mercedes-Benz's Sindelfingen factory before being transported to AMG in Affalterbach, where it received the legendary 5.0-liter M119 V8 engine, AMG suspension, brakes, exhaust system, unique interior and exterior components, and numerous hand-fitted performance upgrades. Once the AMG conversion was completed, the car returned to Mercedes-Benz for final assembly and quality inspection. This makes the E50 AMG one of the last truly hand-finished AMG models, representing the golden era before AMG became a fully integrated Mercedes-Benz division.Specifications
